Background
929641 Ontario Inc., operating as Seven Star Sports is an Ontario registered company in Canada and is privately owned. The name Seven Star Sports was chosen because of the seven brothers in the family that make up Seven Star Sports. In the early 1990's after researching the sporting good industry, the company concluded that health and fitness is increasing in its market size and that more people are being involved in health and fitness. Also that due to its rapid growth, the accidents relating to sports also sharply increased. After this research Seven Star Sports commenced R&D to develop a new line of safety helmets for the cycling and inline skating industry. Early 1994 seen the design and completion of 4 helmet lines that had been developed. All the regulatory approvals CSA, ANSI, ASTM and Multi-Sport Helmets have been received and commercial production commenced February 1995. The company was now a 100% dedicated to manufacturing & wholesaling helmets. Subsequently other lines were added such as sports gloves, protective wear, accessories and ball items (soccer balls, basketballs, footballs) scooters (push and electric) skateboards. Seven Star Sports started its OEM helmet production in Burlington, Ontario and moved to Hamilton, Ontario in early 1998. Helmets are manufactured in China using Seven Star Sports own molds. All other product lines are imported from various countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Pakistan and India. Some of the imported lines are repackaged in our facility in Hamilton, Ontario and distributed to customers. In the late 90's Seven Star Sports opened its offices in Taiwan (Seven Star Sports Taiwan) and in Shanghai, China (Seven Star Sports Shanghai). This opened up a wide and strong base for sourcing our imported products. Also in the late 90's offices were opened in Karachi, Pakistan (Seven Star Sports Pakistan). Currently, the company has offices in Canada, USA, China, Taiwan, and Pakistan. |
Operations
Seven Star Sports has its headquarters in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, selling to major mass merchants, specialty stores, grocery chains, drug store chains and small independents. Seven Star Sports has established itself as a major quality manufacturer and supplier. Seven Star Sports also does private label work. We have produced product under many different brands to meet the needs of the customer. Seven Star Sports has also built an extensive list of customers in the non-profit sector. Federal, Provincial, State, Municipal Governments, Universities, Colleges, Hospitals, Police Departments, Fire Departments and more. The operation in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada is the corporate headquarters. Our office in Karachi, Pakistan is in charge of production issues and sourcing products from Pakistan. The offices in Taiwan are geared for sourcing, research and development and factory assessments. Our Shanghai, China offices are looking after all production controls (timely productions, quality control, and factory maintenance for assessments). Currently Seven Star Sports has set up a network of Sales Representatives in Canada and the US. |

The Future
Seven Star Sports has plans to have offices in Europe as well as South America and Asia within the next 2 to 3 years. The company is looking to expand its already vast product lines. Different product lines are required when dealing with different world markets. We will be launching our BBQ and outdoor furniture lines in spring of 2007. Seven Star Sports also looks to acquire more brand names for its product lines. Seven Star Sports goal is to become the largest manufacturer and supplier of sporting goods in the world. | |
Summary
Seven Star Sports started with safety equipment to help prevent most sports related injuries and grew to offering all types of sporting goods products as well as outdoor products. The desire to provide quality, affordable products has been the key to Seven Star Sports success. Seven Star Sports has always had a desire to give back to the community. Seven Star Sports currently sponsors various non-profit organizations and local groups that in return give back to the community through products, public information and forums and safety.
